Fentons have invested in a new energy efficient chiller. This has been fitted with a bespoke "hot box" which collects the hot air from the 5 compressors & has adjustable vents which are fed into the production area, & even with low outside temperatures this provides the majority of the heat throughout the winter, recycling hot air which is normally expelled to the atmosphere.

Fentons have also invested in a twin baler, after research showed over 65% of waste in volume was through cardboard and PP material bags. These are now compressed in the baler & sent for re-cycling, not only helping the environment but considerably reducing our skip usage & saving money.

Fentons have instigated a rolling programme of fitting barrel jackets to prevent heat loss.

Fentons even utilise the hot air from the air compressor which is fed into the mould tool stores maintaining a constant temperature, supplemented at the weekend by the temperature controlled heater.
